I’m not sure ‘Numbers Match’ is too relevant on an Austin 7, but it does make for a good conversation piece. Especially when all the buff log-books are present, including the first May 1930 one. And when the car’s still in its original colour and on its original registration.
An older restoration purchased by my wife Sue at an H&H auction in May 2021, we have since de-bugged and sorted it for reliable and MoT-able use, plus now with all its history and all our sorting work tabulated onto an Excel spreadsheet. Plus a good collection of current digital photos if required. Which show that it’s in good useable order without claiming to be mint.
Sadly health problems meant Sue never got to regularly use it and we lost her last year.
