Triumph Bonneville T140E, 1978, 4100 miles, in unrestored original condition. This is a time warp machine, it was with the original owner till last year, who imported it into the UK from the USA in the early 90s without registering it at that time. Instead, the bike was placed in his living room to admire in his advancing years.
Since the bike came into my possession, I have registered it with the DVLA and recommissioned it with new fluids, tyres, brakes, battery, rubbers, etc. There really can’t be many bikes about like this one, despite being 48 years old, it could pass for being a year old. There isn’t a single bit of corrosion anywhere, the frame is virtually immaculate, the inside of the tank looks like new and the chrome is factory fresh. The bike starts on the first kick and does not have any oil leaks. It runs and stops exactly as it should - it would be extremely difficult to find another one like it.
