Description
This is our 1978 Bay window which started life as a Moonraker Westfalia. After using it once we decided we loved the whole classic VW scene and decided to update it as original isn't always that great. It was to be a "Forever" vehicle to pass down to the kids, so no expense was spared. We have only stayed in it twice.
Unfortunately due to some unforeseen circumstances we have decided to reluctantly part with it.
We started by stripping it out (including windows) and sent it to have any rust what so ever rectified professionally. It has had new inner and outer wheel arches, new door skins and sills, new panels wherever needed, etc. etc. It is now a very solid rust free vehicle (Quite rare for a T2!)
The interior was fully refurbished from a shell with full size "Rock & Roll" bed, new carpets and flooring, hot air heating, new lighting, upholstery, door cards, roof linings, new plugs with USB chargers, new combined cooker and sink (Never been used yet), etc. The Pop Top has been fully refurbished with stainless hinges, new lining, etc.
Mechanically - The engine has been fully rebuilt by Kingfisher Kustoms (VW specialist) with new cylinders, heads, pistons, rods, etc. etc. The Gearbox was sent away and has just been fully refurbished. The brakes and drums have all been replaced. Ball joints just been replaced. The standard heating system has been refurbished by Kinfisher Kustoms (and it actually works!)
This Bay window drives lovely and is ready to go. With the Pop Top up she sleeps 4 comfortably with the second double that is in th top being removable when not needed.
I also have a huge amount of accessories that in most cases have never been used. These can be negotiated or I'll sell separately.
