Description

For sale is a genuine early Massey Ferguson 35, late 1950s build, fitted with the original Standard Motor Co 23C 4-cylinder diesel engine (approx. 2. 3 litre).
I purchased the tractor around four years ago via a private sale. Since then it has been kept barn stored, which has helped preserve its overall condition. It presents very well and is a clean, straight example of a classic MF 35.
The tractor starts, runs and drives, with gears selecting as they should. Hydraulics and PTO are operational. As is common with the 23C engine, it can take a little effort to start from cold, but once running it performs well and is reliable.
It has mainly been kept as a tidy, usable classic rather than worked hard. Overall, it is a very honest example of a well-known vintage tractor.
Any inspection is welcome. The MF 35 is one of the most iconic classic tractors ever built, and this is a great example of an early model. I originally bought it because of its classic looks and simplicity, and it always draws attention.
It would suit someone looking for:
A show tractor
A light-use working machine
Or a solid base for further improvement
A genuine, straight and usable classic tractor ready to be enjoyed.
