Description
10 stamps in the book up to 36k, plus a mountain of paperwork. Service invoices, paper MOTs etc back to 2000. Handbook, original toolkit.
2 keys. MOT to May 2027. Never failed an MOT, nor had an advisory! Last owner (bike mechanic) stripped it to the frame and rebuilt it. Key work done at 37k:
Valve clearances (2 new exhaust valve shims needed). New C+S. New Wheel, Head and Swingarm bearings. New radiator. Rebuilt forks with new seals and bushes. Rebuilt rear shock. Rebuilt front & rear calipers - new seals and stainless steel pistons. New front braided hoses. New brake pads. Rebuilt carbs. New mirrors. New OE levers. Full stainless exhaust.
2026 work:
New front S21 tyre, New Yuasa Battery, new Tourmax rectifier (existing wiring is fine). NOS inner fairing panel. Replacement uncut rear mudguard.
New rear S21 tyre fitted May 26.
Oil and filter change July 26.
I've stuck 6500 + miles on it. Runs brilliantly. Fuel system and inside of tank is very clean. A testament to careful ownership and regular use.
A near 30 year old bike - so it isn't perfect of course.
Yes, you can find one a few hundred pounds cheaper, but in my experience most of them are unhistoried, rusty, poorly maintained and require about a grand spending on them. I spent a long time finding this one.
Price now dropped to £1650 - anything lower is moving into 'project' territory.
If the advert is still up, the bike is still available.
