Description
1991 Lada Niva Cossack
I have owned this vehicle for approximately 10 years, during which time it has always been dry stored in my garage — which is likely why it has survived in such solid condition.
A few years ago, I carried out a substantial refurbishment, including stripping and powder coating the suspension and drivetrain components before refitting them with new polybushes. The car also benefits from new suspension, brakes, refurbished wheels, and new tyres.
The engine is original, runs well, and has been regularly serviced. The vehicle starts, runs, and stops exactly as it should.
The car comes complete with the original Cossack front and rear bull bars, along with the rear-mounted spare wheel carrier. The vehicle is very original and complete overall. I changed the steering wheel during my ownership, however the original steering wheel has been retained and will come with the car.
As expected for a vehicle of this age, there is some standard surface rust present at the base of the A-pillars and on the boot lid. However, I do have a spare boot lid which will also be included in the sale.
The car has not been MOT’d and will likely require a bit of fettling beforehand, as any old classic would, but it does not require any welding to my knowledge. Please come and inspect the vehicle for yourselves.
This is a great survivor car, especially considering how many of these have disappeared due to rust over the years.
Please use the photos as part of the description and to assess the overall condition of the vehicle.
Unfortunately, I never quite found the time to get the car fully back on the road, and due to other commitments, the time has come to let it go for someone else to enjoy and complete.
