2002 C5 A6 2. 7 V6 twin turbo. This is the same engine as found in the B5 S4, and pretty rare to find in an A6!
I'm selling because it's a spare car and I'm not using anywhere near as much as I thought I would. I've only done about 1500 miles in the last 18 months ownership. In that time I've done a very thorough service on the engine, which included:
* New cambelt
* New water pump
* New thermostat
* New spark plugs
* Oil and oil filter change
* Air, fuel and pollen filters changed
* New cam seals to stop the common leak on these engines
* New engine mounts
* New gearbox mounts
* New viscous fan clutch
* Refurbished power steering pump and fresh fluid
* New brake fluid
* New gearbox oil
* New battery
I've also replaced the windscreen, one of the rear brake calipers, 3 door lock actuators, the rear wiper motor, and a CV boot. The headliner was retrimmed and also the A, B, C and D pillars to match.
The wheels have been refurbished and are currently 'as new' with new genuine centre caps too. Tyres were replaced at the same time, they are Continentals and have done approx 1500 miles only.
MOT until 19th Feb 2027.
I have kept all receipts from the work I've done, and there is some old service history and the book packs too.
The spec of the car is as follows:
* Dark blue metallic paint
* Cream/ beige leather interior
* Heated/ electic/ memory front seats
* Bose sound system with the sub in the boot and CD changer head unit
* Detatchable towbar
* Electric folding and heated wing mirrors
As you can see, it's mechanically very good. The only thing that doesn't work is the A/ C. It had gas in it before I removed the front panel to change the cam belt but I never actually tested it beforehand so you might get away with a simple recharge, or you might not.
Cosmetically, the car needs some attention. The paintwork is fairly average for a 24 year old car. There are plenty of minor scratches and car park dings. Both bumpers are scratched have had a rattle can job by a previous owner, and there is a scrape on the front passenger wing - you can see this in the pictures. There is some lacquer peel on the rear passenger door too, also pictured. The drivers seat needs re-colouring, but no rips in the bolster etc. The glove box hinge is broken and will need replacing.
