Description
1970 Ural M63 with original Cossack Owners book.
Excellent condition vintage motorcycle and sidecar.
Bereavement sale - was owned and much loved by my late husband. Purchased in 2022 and stored in our warm, dry garage ever since. I am not a biker so it's time for the Ural to find a new home.
Running - please message me and I can send a video.
UK DVLA registered with V5, registered 01/ 03/ 2022. Currently SORN.
Comes with original Cossack brown owners book with stamp and details of model, date etc.
Side car currently disconnected which makes it easier for transportation. Easily reconnected.
Ural M63 with some parts from other bikes, as is very normal for Urals.
- Gearbox is likely from a later Ural, probably M67.
- Petrol tank is from an earlier bike, probably M72 or Dnepr MT9.
- New tyres.
- New battery.
- 2 keys.
- Tow rope and axes.
- Jerry can fitted on side.
- New seatbelt in side car.
- New spare tyre cover on side car.
Modifications
- Frame has been altered to take the sidecar on the left making it legal for UK roads. The sidecar chassis looks like all original welding, so presumably not just the old one flipped over. Might be a new chassis from a later bike.
- Frame has been altered around the seat mount to accommodate a taller rider. New padded and sprung seat. Bike also comes with original seat.
- New wide handlebars, but bike also comes with original handlebars.
Location
St Mawes, south Cornwall, UK.
Sensible offers considered.
* Please get in touch with any questions although bear in mind I am not a biker. All motorbike and sidecar information has been gathered through my husband's paperwork, questions to the original vendor, help from the Cossack Owners Club, and a biking friend who got it started for me to check it is running ok. My Husband was a collector of classic vehicles. He had a 1969 Citroen H Van which he ran as a speciality coffee van, and he spent years researching Urals before he bought this M63. He spent a long time getting it UK registered with the ultimate intention of riding around in it with our son. He was quite tall (6ft 1inches) so raised the seat to make it a more comfortable ride. The motorcycle and sidecar have both been stored in our purpose built garage ever since purchase so in very good condition for a vehicle of this age. The bike has not been ridden for 2+ years (when my husband died) but a biking friend recently came to check it for me and got it started as soon as he had charged the battery. I think it could probably do with a good once over before riding seriously on the road.
