This rare and largely original vintage 1961 Airstream Overlander is a classic touring caravan with a sleeping capacity for up to 4 people. It comes equipped with features such as an awning, cooker, hob, sink, ceramic toilet and shower. This creates a comfortable home away from home. With amenities like mains lighting, central heating, and a refrigerator freezer, this caravan offers convenience and comfort for all your needs in true early 60s style. Designed with two axles it has UK overrun brakes and European legal tow bar.
We installed the new retro ceramic fully flushing toilet that hooks up to mains sewerage and looks great in situ and has a high quality marine hot water heater that keeps you totally toasty in the shower. The Airstream is 26ft x 8. 5ft and requires a large vehicle to tow or needs placing on a flat bed (we can recommend a company for this). We can also give you a full rundown of how everything works and a list of suppliers for parts etc. The Airstream also comes with a plethora of spares and polishing kit to keep the old girl sweet and shiny.
This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Airstream history - there are very few of these in original condition left in the world. Most have been modernised to a certain standard and just don’t look right.
