Manual estates are extremely rare and as such this car is cherished and dry stored during my 10 year ownership, This Passat W8 is a police spec vehicle used by the service, probably for the first 10 years. It would have been regularly serviced and maintained to a high standard but lacking the care of personal ownership. The bodywork has numerous surface scratches and light dents particularly on the two rear doors but there is no rust. The leather interior is worn around the bolster of the front passenger seat no doubt caused by equipment. The car can be enjoyed as it is or continually improved to whatever standard a new owner may wish.
The VW Passat was the only production vehicle fitted with a w8 engine, a configuration used in the Bentley continental W12 and W16 Bugatti.
