Description
For sale is my beautiful manual Porsche 997. 1 Carrera S in Atlas Grey with full extended black leather interior. I purchased this car from an independent dealer in March 2025 as a second car and it has been garaged on a trickle charger ever since. It has only been run on 99 RON fuel and used on dry days. It has always been kept under 3k RPM when cold and allowed to warm up fully before any spirited driving. It is a uniquely high spec car with the following options:
M030 Sport Chassis with factory 30mm lower suspension and LSD - very rare option
Sport Chrono Package Plus
Lightronic Bi-Xenon headlamps
BOSE digital sound system
Sport design steering wheel
Factory exterior colour matched centre console
Sunroof
Rear wiper
Full electric memory seats
Heated seats
Cruise control
Auto dimming rear view and side mirrors
Rain sensing wipers
LED front side lights
Pioneer Bluetooth/ Car play stereo (original available).
Being a 2005 model it is in the cheaper tax bracket but also has the larger IMS bearing which is less prone to failure. It is ULEZ compliant.
The body work presents very well with a few age related stone chips at the front of the car. There are no dents or scratches on the bodywork which has been recently detailed.
The original 19 inch lobster claw wheels are unmarked and were refurbished in Porsche Weiss Gold prior to my ownership. The wheels are wrapped in Michelin pilot sport 2 tyres (age 2023) at the front and Bridgestone potenza tyres (age 2021) at the rear (all have >5mm remaining tread).
The interior is in very good condition with minimal wear and includes the original Porsche floor mats. I have also changed the switches on the centre console climate unit (common issue).
The car drives fantastically and it's a true driver's car. The engine pulls hard without any issues, the gear change is crisp and the steering is excellent.
Weak points:
12 previous owners - not uncommon for a car like this (but I appreciate this may put some people off)
Handbrake requires a hard pull to engage-rear brake shoes have been replaced recently so I think it needs adjusting
Still on original clutch - no issues but will need to be done at some point
Creaking front right coffin arm in hot weather
The above has been factored into the asking price. I am very particular with my cars and I've tried to describe the car as accurately and honestly as possible.
I am reluctantly selling the car due to a new baby and therefore not using the car as I should. I had planned to keep the car and spent quite a bit of money on it in the last year. No test drives without proof of insurance. If you are a serious buyer then I will happily take you for a drive in it. Any inspections welcome. Reasonable offers will be considered. I had a bore scope carried out by a local specialist prior to purchase which revealed no scoring on any cylinders. Immediately after purchasing, I took it to the local Porsche independent specialists Zuffenhaus who did a post-purchase inspection - all issues identified were addressed, it had a gearbox oil service and the suspension top mounts were replaced. It had a major service in September 2025 and a new starter loom. Prior to my ownership It had the coolant pipes replaced and a new alternator among lots of other work which receipts are pictured. It has full Porsche/ Porsche specialist service history including all recent receipts for work in a chronologically ordered folder with 11 stamps. It has 2 keys and all the manuals and book packs. It also passed its last MOT with no advisories.
