Description
For sale is an exceptionally rare 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, being body number 572 of only 704 units ever produced in 1957 and 1958. It features the iconic, model-specific brushed stainless steel roof. Paint code 132 on a 1958 Cadillac corresponds to the factory color Jamaican Green still visible today. Except of the seats the car was never touched and in original condition.
This is the ultimate "holy grail" for American classic car collectors. Back in 1958, this hand-built masterpiece cost more than a Rolls-Royce and close to the average US house price at the time.
The car is 95% complete, which is arguably the most important factor for a Brougham restoration. It's missing the wheel caps and rear wheel covers. The car requires a total, frame-off restoration (chassis, mechanics, paint, and interior). The car has surface rust, but the structural integrity remains solid with no frame or body rust-through.
