A wonderful van which I have owned since 2009. She has been very well cared for with receipts for all the work and just two previous owners. Tax until October and MOT until July. Sadly need to sell due to personal circumstances.
Heritage / classic car status being sought which will result in no tax / mot requirements. Pending letter from VW.
Lovingly known as ‘The Moose’, the name she arrived with, reflecting her Canadian Roots and conversion in 1985. A Caravelle Westfalia hightop with a Vanagon conversion.
The interior is completely original, with original seating, upholstery, lights, interior panels, carpets, a truly cherished and collectable van.
She has had 2 other owners in the UK. I have looked after with great care and attention since I bought her in 2009 and she is great condition.
I have enjoyed 15 + wonderful years, with 2 big European trips to Portugal and to the Germany, the Italian Dolomites and lakes, Switzerland and France, and a Scotland tour along with multiple festivals and camping trips in the UK. The Moose provided a wonderful home and so much fun for all these travels and memories and great storage for wine along the way!
The Moose, also named ‘Vanagon Gold’ by Custom Slaughterhouse, a T25 specialist service who have cared for her for the last 4 years, with all the documentation to go with this. They say that she is 'a rarity and in amazing original condition.'
She was fully resprayed in original Gold in 2023.
If you are in doubt about a left-hand drive, it takes very little time to get used to it.
The mirrors are excellent, having been replaced 2 years ago for wider angle 'truck mirrors'. If you are heading to Europe, a total bonus.

There is an amazing amount of storage above the front driver / passenger seats, above and below the back passenger seat, under sink storage and two areas for clothes.
The back seats convert into a ‘rock and roll’ bed – an additional mattress topper included makes for the best night’s sleep.
The high-top is another double sleeping area, with the section pulling easily forward to make the bed.
When not being slept in, this also provides great storage.

They have described it as being in exceptional mechanical condition, and very well maintained. I fell in love with The Moose when I first saw her, something totally unique that stood out from all the rest, her original fittings and fixtures, the high top and her colour and just ready to roll. She quickly became a home on the road, with room for everything, the high top area providing extra space for a kayak and paddle board. I have cared for her and all her original features and added extras where needed, the solar panel and USB.
I know that whoever owns her next will enjoy her uniqueness and hopefully continue having wonderful times making great memories.
