1966 Ford Mustang Coupe 289 V8 5 Speed Manual
I’m selling my 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe, finished in red with a black interior and fitted with the 289 V8 and 5 speed manual conversion.
It’s a car I’ve really enjoyed owning and using, and one that has a much better spec than a lot of the coupes that come up for sale. It looks right, drives properly and has had a lot spent on it over the years. The 5 speed conversion makes a big difference and gives it a much nicer feel on modern roads than the standard automatic cars.
This is a UK registered, left hand drive car with a good history file and a large amount of paperwork from previous ownership. It was restored and rebuilt in the US before coming to the UK, and the invoices show significant spend on bodywork, paint, interior trim, transmission work and general refurbishment.

History and paperwork
The car comes with a substantial folder of invoices covering restoration and refurbishment work over the years, including body and paint work, transmission conversion work, interior trim, glass, seals and various mechanical parts. There is also paperwork confirming the 289 V8 setup.
The history file includes evidence of a lot of money having been spent over time, and it now feels like a car you can simply get in and enjoy rather than something that still needs sorting.
Condition
The car presents well overall and always gets plenty of attention when it’s out. The paintwork still looks great, the chrome and trim are tidy, the interior is smart and the engine bay is clean and presentable. It starts well, runs well and drives as it should.
