JAP Speedway Bike I wanted this bike to look as original as it would have been leaving the Rotrax factory in the late 1959, early 1960s. New parts:Front & rear tyres, original type & size, front & rear tyre guards, exhaust pipe, front & rear steel rims & spokes, rear push bar. Rocker oil feed pipe, fuel pipes taps & pipe fixtures, throttle & clutch cables & many chrome nuts & bolts. The diamond-frame, rear arms, forks, handlebars, oil & fuel tank, & various brackets are re-chromed. If you are thinking of undertaking an old JAP bike restoration check the price of chroming & polishing first, it can come as a surprise!I've had a great deal of pleasure restoring this over several years. ( Its the sort of bike that creates conversation in a man cave ). Many of my friends have admired it over the years.
