Description
2004 996 C4S manual transmission in rare Polar Silver with Metropole blue leather interior. I've owned this Porsche since April 2022. Purchasing it privately, and locally from another Porsche enthusiast who had owned it himself for about eight years. Prior to that, it has had three owners who put the majority of the miles on it. The car has fully comprehensive service records, with maintenance performed by both Porsche main dealers and from 2014 a selection of local Porsche Specialists. It was last serviced in December 2024 and approximately every previous year since leaving the main Porsche servicing network. Significant investments have been made in its upkeep, all documented with receipts in organised folders, some of which are visible in the relevant photos, backing up and give more detail to the 17 stamps in the service record book (see photos)The IMS bearing, RMS, and clutch were all replaced together approx. 16, 000 miles ago. The car was bore score checked & documented approximately 11, 000 miles ago and given a clean bill of health. The car continues to use no oil between services. As a preventative measure the previous owner fitted a low temperature thermostat and advised me that he limited the max revs to 3000 from a cold start until the oil was at operating temperature. This is a practice I took on board and follow each time I use the car. As the car is nearing 22 years old and has done 114, 000 miles, it does have some minor stone chips and minor marks here and there, but overall, it’s been kept detailed and never used in the winter in either my own and the previous local owners tenure. The car is located on the Wirral. The car is taxed and insured, and if you have proof of suitable insurance, you're welcome to test drive it. Otherwise, I’m happy to take you for a drive. Here’s a summary of the main servicing and maintenance during the last 20, 000 miles:• 8 Services (minor and major - last minor in Dec 24) • MOT valid until 26 Nov 2026• Plugs & coil packs (x6)• Tyres: always Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Porsche N-rated most recently (two fronts 3000 miles ago and two rears approx. 5000 miles ago) • Replacement low Temp thermostat • Rear coffin arms replaced• Sports exhaust - Dansk - 200 cell • Performance engine mounts• Brake pipes replaced• Brake pads & discs (x4) replaced• Front reluctor rings (ABS) replaced• Power steering pipes replaced• Water pump replaced• New battery (Bosch)• Rear spoiler mechanism refurb• Indicator/ cruise stalk mechanism replaced• Turbo twist alloys refurbished and powder-coated• Refurbished brake callipers (red powder coated)• Replacement Android head unit fitted to replace original PCM2 unit (original still working although the CD changer is temperamental and available boxed with car if required.
