Description
MG ZS 180 XPower, just under 97k miles. 2. 5 V6, putting out 180PS as standard. Part service history, but enthusiast owned most of its life. MOT until November 2026.
This is one of the rare facelift cars, with the XPower bodykit and updated part-leather interior.
It has a few tasteful modifications, including stainless steel exhaust (it keeps the silencers so not too loud), induction kit, Powerflex bushings XPower gearstick, MGTF steering wheel and overhead mirror, front strut brace, and Bola B1 alloys.
Headlining has been done, and front door cards retrimmed. Rear door cards do, however, now need doing (it's a simple job but takes a couple of hours). Recent tyres (Toyo Proxes), new discs/ pads, and recent battery.
Part service history. It was previously owned by a mechanic and MG Owners Club member - so there are receipts (mostly with '0' labour) up until around 2022 and then the next owner (also an MG enthusiast) serviced it himself. As such I do not have evidence of the cambelt being done - but I do have receipts for gearbox rebuild and new clutch within the last few years. This is reflected in the price.
There are some age-related marks around the car, and a very slightly droopy bumper. Given the short production run these Mk2 180s were always a rare sight, and 22 years on they're very hard to find.
Despite very much not needing another car (I have a rather pampered F Type that has only done 2-3k miles a year for the past 5 years), when this came up for sale last year I couldn't resist. It's been on a couple of road trips, including across five European countries, but realistically it's parked up most of the time so it's time to move it on to someone with more time to give it the love it deserves.
