This is an early Bay that has been extensively restored by the previous owner who and is a very usable classic that can be driven and enjoyed immediately. The camper presents beautifully in its classic two-tone red and cream paintwork and always attracts attention wherever it goes. It starts easily, drives well and has been maintained with reliability in mind whilst retaining its classic character. The vehicle has benefited from extensive restoration and mechanical work, resulting in a solid, honest example rather than a project requiring significant expenditure. Every journey feels like an occasion, whether it's a trip to the coast, a weekend away or just stopping for an ice cream on a sunny afternoon. What I love most is the reaction it gets. Complete strangers smile, wave, ask questions and often tell you about the camper they owned years ago or always dreamed of owning. It has a wonderful ability to bring back memories and start conversations wherever it goes. This is a finished camper and not a project with a completely clean, rust free undercarriage. The camper has been stored in the garage and never outside. The early Bay Window is becoming increasingly sought after thanks to its iconic styling, simplicity and character. It represents everything that makes classic Volkswagens so special – an honest, uncomplicated vehicle that encourages you to slow down and enjoy the journey rather than rush to the destination. The only reason I'm selling is that life has moved on and I simply don't have the time to use it as often as it deserves.
