1965 Morgan 4/ 4 Series V – Lotus Twin Cam – Proven Championship-Winning Hill Climb CarA opportunity to acquire a great 1965 Morgan 4/ 4 Series V, beautifully presented in Flame Red with a black vinyl interior, and powered by the highly desirable Lotus Twin Cam 1, 558cc engine. First registered on 17 September 1965, the car retains its original charm while benefiting from sympathetic upgrades and meticulous restoration over many decades. It has been in the same ownership since 2001. The car underwent a comprehensive rebuild onto a new Morgan chassis in 1978/ 79, including new timber frame sections, door pillars, sills, top rails, an aluminium rear wing, aluminium panelling, a rebuilt Ford 200E gearbox, bonnet louvres by Morgan Motor Company and a complete repaint in its original Flame Red. A second extensive restoration was completed in 1994/ 95, during which the original engine was replaced with the current Lotus Twin Cam 1, 558cc unit (the original engine, bellhousing and associated parts are retained).
