MGB Roadster prepared for HERO Historic rallying. 1963 pull handle model built into a heritage shell just over 20 years ago as an FIA Competition car.
The car is fitted with a 5 bearing lightly modified engine, electric fan, twin electric fuel pumps and an all synchro overdrive gearbox. The original fully rebuilt 3 bearing engine and overdrive gearbox which is fitted with special tuning gear ratios are available by separate negotiation. The correct banjo axle is fitted with a Quaife torque sensing differential. The front brake discs and calipers are from the V8 model, all brake flexi hoses are braided complete with servo assistance. The suspension has been uprated and is fitted with Koni telescopic shock absorbers. Electric power steering is fitted with a Mota Lita steering wheel.
The seats are leather covered MX5 recliners, the original seats have been recovered but never fitted and are with the car. The soft top is the later folding version and it also has a hard top finished in red. Fitted with a roll bar and all the usual Brantz rally timer equipment along with a map light, accurate digital speedo navigational and full harness seatbelts are with the car. The car fuses are located in the glovebox, it has halogen headlamps, a pair of driving lamps and twin 12 volt batteries. A sump guard is fitted along with a kevlar petrol tank guard and all the usual extra lights etc. The car is finished in old english white, 5J wide painted 72 spoke wheels with all season tyres.
