ES version with factory fitted rear passenger air conditioning, heated and electrically adjusted leather seats (5) plus factory colour coded grill. Just 107000 miles from new. Very rare manual gearbox. Twin electric sunroofs. ES variants include premium multi-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, wood trim detail, Alcantara door insets, parking sensors, multi-function steering wheel plus much more. Full main dealer service history (16 stamps) plus comprehensive invoices for past works. All Mots, service books and instruction manuals, owners handbook, In-car entertainment booklet plus three original key sets together with original wallet. With around 4500 miles averaged per annum, this is an extremely low mileage example used for personal transport not as a work horse
Last of the final series Discovery 2 finished in Chawton White and supplied new by Harwoods of Croydon in 2002, thereafter spending most of its life in the Home Counties, then more recently in the South of France as a holiday home vehicle.
Never used off road. All original chassis now recently professionally treated with full Lanoguard wax oil protection.
Recent recommissioning includes BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres, new rear coil suspension, new clutch and flywheel, new sump and rocker cover gaskets, full oils replaced throughout, diffs, gearbox, transfer box etc, new crankshaft pulley plus belts and tensioner, injector loom replaced, new stainless steel exhaust, new hydraulic pipes, recent brake discs/ calipers/ pads.
After the sunroof seals were replaced, a full Harris Tweed grey wool headlining was installed which transforms the interior. This alone was around £1500 worth of works.
Superb smooth and quiet to drive in fabulous, unmolested original show condition. Current Mot is advisory-free. Private plate included. Stunning original factory finish paintwork free from chips and parking dinks now further protected with ceramic coating. There will not be another like it. This is not a Japanese import.
Probably one of the most expensive Discovery 2's available but for good reason. The value of recommissioning and other recent investment is over £10, 000 and these TD5 Discos will still be on the road well after newer Discovery's have expired. As the advisory free Mot expires in November, a new Mot will be issued and included at point of sale. Interesting px considered.
