Offered for sale is a lovely example of Suzuki's classic two-stroke trail bike, the TS185 ER, in its original and most sought-after blue colour scheme. Manufactured in February 1981 and originally supplied to the US market, the bike was imported to the UK and registered in 2021, receiving the attractive age-related registration MKW 448W, far nicer than the modern style plates many imports carry.
The bike has been refurbished to a good, honest standard. This is a machine that has been done properly to be used and enjoyed rather than a concours trailer queen, and it presents extremely well the paintwork, chrome and brightwork are all in fine order, as the photos show. The odometer reads just 3, 548 miles.
The TS185 ER is remembered as one of the best all-rounders of Suzuki's much-loved TS trail range light, simple, characterful and genuinely usable, equally at home commuting, green-laning or just enjoying a Sunday ride. These bikes were often ridden hard and left to rot, so tidy survivors in the original colours are increasingly hard to find, and values have been steadily climbing.
Being over 40 years old, the bike is both MOT and road tax exempt, making it a cheap and easy classic to own. It starts and runs well
