It features the incredibly reliable multi-point injection (MPI) 4. 2 V8 engine, avoiding the carbon-buildup and injector issues commonly found on later direct-injection models. This means it also has a timing belt rather than an extremely expensive to replace chain. The belt was done in March last year @ 86k miles
Had a full engine and gearbox service in December 2025, including spark plugs at a cost of over £850. In total it has 8 service stamps, has been very well cared for and is a fantastic example of a rare to find car

Even with the 20 inch alloys the ride is fantastic with the air suspension, which works perfectly. The AC was also re-gassed just a few weeks ago. It has other A8 features such as double glazed windows too
Surprisingly the fuel economy can be decent, especially on longer runs as it averaged just shy of 30 mpg up to Inverness from Doncaster without trying, and that was in colder weather
Would consider deals with something like a Touareg or other SUV's, cash up or down
£4000 outright or £4250 swap valueI bought this from my friend as a stop gap while I sold my Maserati. I am now in need of an SUV, and that is the only reason for sale. This car has been looked after extremely well, is mechanically sound and I don't think you'll find one as good for the asking price.
