This was bought many years ago as a retirement car but its hardly been used especially in the last few years due to the lock downThis car has tonnes and tonnes of paperwork, it's has every mot certificate since new. The stereo is a factory fitted unit with a CD changer in the boot fixed below the rear parcel shelf in the bootElectric 2 way tilt and slide sunroofX4 electric windowsElectric mirrorsHeadlight washer wipersHeated seatsTow bar has never been used, you can see this clearly in the picture with the cover removedThis car was originally purchased by a Computer company for its Manager and was always maintained at the Mercedes dealership. The company was then transferred/ changed to another name and so was the V5 even though it still remained with the original 1 Manager and the same Mercedes dealership for servicing etc. Then the Manager was offered a new car but he still wanted to keep the Mercedes. When the Manager was leaving due to retirement he then purchased the car from the company he worked for and kept it maintained at Mercedes as he liked it so much. So even tho he is the '3rd owner now, he is infact still the 1st original owner. So the X2 extra owners are just due to the different company namesI have proof of all of this in the paperwork. He then kept it until he could drive no more due to a disability and then sold it on in 2009. So the 1st original owner kept it from 1994 till 2009 which is 15 years. The 2nd owner kept it from 2009 to 2012The 3rd owner who was a Mercedes collector kept it from 2012 till 2016 till my Father bought itMy Father is the 4th owner and has owned it from 2016 up until now and its always been a great car to him. My Father personally has also spoken to all the owners including the 1st and 2nd owners of the cars. The car is currently parked up which is a shame as its a great classic Mercedes, also when the Mercedes collector owned it, the neighbour reversed into the side of it. It did have a dent below the drivers side rear glass that was repaired, and that's all it was a simple dent. It's mentioned on the v5 due to its age as anything as small as this is mentioned. But I think due to new updated v5 it might not come up on the new v5? But I can't guarantee this so please check it yourself. This did not bother us we still purchased the car. This happened whilst the Mercedes collector owned it. As the Mercedes collector was a perfectionist he sold the car on once it was repaired. We looked at many Mercedes before we decided on this one even though it cost more then others for sale at the time, also due to its unusual colour which my father loved. We now know this is a rare colour too . Also we have the original 1994 v5 and other copiesTheres is literally a box full of files and paperworkThe car was also parked up in storage briefly from 2016 till 2018, when it was taken out of storage and straight for its MOT which it passed with no issues. The car is currently Sorn since 2020 and without an Mot due to it being parked up because of the Pandemic lock down, it had a recent oil change and it had been fully valeted and then moved to be stored away securely. The photos show it geThe car was always started regularly and driven regardless by family members on private land, the engine is smooth and amazing, you'd honestly think it has only done 20k miles. The car glides like a magic carpet, you don't feel no bumps, nothing. It is unbelievably a smooth car like your on air. My Father is too old to drive this car anymore, after all he is 82 years old, we did expect him to drive it once the lock down life was back to normal, but by then he preferred a smaller car, even though he totally gave up driving. This is someone who was used to driving Jaguar E types and the Ford Granadas, Ford Capri 3100. He wasn't driving this much anyway in all the years he had it but always loved the Mercedes c124 coupe. The steering wheel has a leather wrap added to it, what you see at the bottom of the steering wheel is the excess string which was just wrapped around instead of being cut off, i had this fitted this for him, it feels great, better than the original steering. It is much more comfortable and so soft, it's perfect. The centre Mercedes emblem on the steering wheel has had some chrome vinyl wrap put on which you can peel off if needs be, otherwise its just a plain black emblem mould part of the steering wheel. I don't think you will find another Mercedes as clean as this especially on the inside, or any other car that's similar age to this, but please expect general wear and tear due to its age. In 2023 January someone who parked next to it scraped the front bumper on the side (see pic) as they pulled out of their parking space when it was stored, we absolutely exhausted every channel possible to make her pay but she is an ignorant rude woman who simply doesn't care which is really upsetting. We involved the police, the police said as it's private land we can't do a thing! Trading standards told us otherwise, they said as public still have access in the yard etc she is still liable and so we have a case, but the police thinks otherwise. Basically we are going in circles and still nothing happened and it's not healthy for my dad or the rest of the family, this episode has really stressed us out, it has been both mentally and physically exhausting. And especially paying for storage and then having zero protection!The police investigation took months and months of us chasing it and then to be told nothing could be done! The battery is now totally dead, even though the battery was brand new beforehand. I'm really busy with things in life so please no timewasters. This car would make an excellent project and addition for a collector or a Mercedes enthusiast, we would love for this car to be driven again. Please come and view the car, we understand as its parked up and not being driven it would need an Mot to be done and put back on the road. We would love for the car to go to a genuine person who will look after 'bertie'. We will be sad to see bertie go but happy to know he's gone to a good home. We would really like for Bertie to used again. The car is sold as seenAlloy wheels were refurbished just before the car was stored and are literally like brand new in a beautiful silver glitter colour including the spare. The x4 tyres were also brand new fitted, all x4 tyres are Pirelli and are all matching.
