Description
2008 Saab Aero 2. 0t Auto (210bhp) Cabrio
I've owned this car for just over two years and have spent time sorting out a lot of the issues the previous owner didn't deal with. These include:
1. Four new tyres last year
2. Brand new stainless steel exhaust
3. New springs on ever corner
4. New brake discs, pads and back plates on every corner
5. New rear calipers
6. Bushes that needed replacing at last MoT
7. Headlamps polished
8. Full service only 1600 miles ago
9. New heater matrix
10. Cabriolet roof sensors replaced
I've really enjoyed putting the car back together again to a decent state and it's a cracking car with a really decent auto box for both cruising with the roof down and pushing down the road with the box set to the sport setting.
One thing that may need a bit of attention is the mid sub frame which the inspector reckoned needed some attention over the coming year before the next MoT but it's only surface rust and if cleaned down and recovered in epoxy it'll do perfectly fine for another few MoTs.
It's in lovely condition and I have a replacement wheel arch liner for the rear o/ s arch which has a crack in it.
I have to use hand controls now and had intended adding these to this car, but I'm finding the non-SUV stance harder and harder to get in and out of hence the very low mileage.
It does have some stamps in the service book and my mechanic (who retired in 2020) has been keeping the services up to date using decent quality parts.
This has had two previous owners to me and has just passed it's MoT
Lovely car to enjoy the last few months if good weather this year and then a nice solid project before the good weather next year.
