FIRST OWNER (1972 - 1990s)
Not much information, but he owned the bike for over 20 years and did about 40, 000 miles with it. Although the speedo had been replaced, so he couldn't be sure.
SECOND OWNER (late 1990s – 2017) Manchester
The bike had been used regularly, maintained but never fully restored. It started easily and ran sweetly. Parts have always been replaced with Moto Guzzi originals whenever available. Work done included: new seat, respray, new indicators, brakes overhauled, ignition system rewired, new clutch, starter motor and starter ring, drive shaft U joint, carbs overhauled, new ignition switch, speedo, points ignition. MOT until November 2017. Tax exempt. Based in Manchester.
THIRD OWNER: ME (2017 – 2026) London
I bought it in 2017; it has been an amazing ride and one of my favourites. I changed the seat and put a one-seater police bike seat, which gives really comfy seating, and the springs give a good feel when riding London’s bumpy roads. I have the old regular seat; it is a two-seater, and it will go with the bike. For the last ten years, it has been in Rex’s precious hands at Victory Motorcycle. Rex was its doctor, and the patient is riding smoothly. For those who remember the amazing Anita (she was doing the electrical work at Victory Motorcycle), she did some electrical work on the bike as I added two rally lights on the protective bars on the side (see pictures).
I have also changed the handlebar so now it looks like a plane! Meaning the handlebars are way wider; it may not be to your taste, but this is very easily changed, and you can find the original handlebar online for a good price. Honestly, the new handlebars aren’t ideal for London, but on open roads they are amazing! It starts on the first key turn, ride smooth, classic vehicle so no MOT, no tax, no ULEZ, no nothing. The battery is also quite recent.
Honestly, I don’t even know why I am selling it (cause I want to buy an old Triumph Desert sled and promised the wife I will sell a bike before I buy another one… Feel free to ask anything; feel free to call Rex at Victory Motorcycle (I have to warn him, though). It’s a winner, a beautiful bike that sounds ace and rides smoothly. It's an eye turner; you don't see any riding in London. I don’t ride it enough tho that's for sure (only 5000 miles in 10 years…) so someone needs to go out and ride it!
You need to add a little lead supplement to the petrol when you fill it; I buy it online. It has never been "touched"; what I mean by that is it's 90% original. I have removed the original seat to put a one-seater police seat vintage on springs, and I have changed the handlebars. Yes, I have removed the two side handles, but again that's easy to find; I may even have them in the garage. So if you want to buy it to put it back to its original shape, it's easy:
- original 2-seater seat re-upholstered ( a while back) comes with it - see pic
- buy an original handlebar online
- add the two side handles back in (online or I may be able to find them, yet no promises here)
It rides super well; it pulls out solid, it's happier on open road, it is originally a tourer I think, so designed initially as such. Because of the different handlebars in London you got to be wary, but that did not stop me riding it in London!! Watch out for the tambour front brakes; those who know know, you gotta have a strong grip. They are old school, but I could never change them to disc; I thought it would be changing the original look and feel of the machine, and I refused to do this. Yet if you want, it's something a few people have done with this model and an old Yamaha front end, I think. Couldnt be sure.

It is known to be a robust, double-cradle tubular steel frame wrapping around the iconic transverse 90° V-twin engine. Built through the early 1970s, these heavy-duty touring machines delivered roughly 55 horsepower and are celebrated today for their rock-solid stability and classic vintage styling.
At 7K, I feel it is fairly priced. I have sunk a bit of cash into it; Rex did amazing work on it all these years. You can grab it and go ride right now! And yes, I am open to a sensitive offer, but please no silly numbers, grab this one now cause there arent any other online!
