Description
1961 Triumph T100 Tiger 500cc, finished in an attractive Blue over Cream. The motocycle was aquired by the late owner in 2013 and has been kept indoors in the hallway of his home throughout his ownership. It is now being sold by the executors of his estate. The bike presents very well for its age and appears to have undergone some restoration during its life. The frame and engine numbers are 55802 and T100 55802 respectively. The engine also carries a plaque from Robert Lewis Mororcycle Engineering of Warwick suggesting that it has received previous specialist attention. The odometer currently shows 11, 402 miles. The last recorded MOT was in December 2006 at 11, 298 miles, with no advisories. It has not been used on the road for many years and has not been started or mechanically tested by the executors. It is therefore being sold as requiring recommisioning, and a new owner should expect to carry out a thorough mechanical inspection. The fuel in the tank has varnished during its long period of storage, so the fuel system will require cleaning and recommisioning before attempting to start the motorcycle. The V5C is present and records the motorcycle as a Historic vehicle manufactured in 1961. This would make an excellent recommissioning project for a Triumph enthusiast. Having spent many years displayed inside the owner's home, this bike has clearly been omething to admire. It now offers the next owner the opportunity to bring a lovely classic back into use and enjoy it as it was intended.
