Description
The truck was built as a horse box with 7 meters x 2, 45 x 2, 45 inside. It has a barn door back opening in to a roughly one meter deep segmentation. The front 6 meters are reached by a full height drop down ramp door on the right side of the box, suitably rubbered and railinged for horses. Enter left (i. e. toward the back) are segments for three horses, divided by sturdy rubber sheets in steel frames. A fourth horse can be housed at tjhe front of the box (enter right) and contained with a heavy steel bar and the right hand ramp rail. The motor wnet through the MOT (TÜV) with flying colours in April this year, with the only comment being slight yet not troublesome oil leakage on the valve gasket, rear tyres due to be replaced, and slight signs of corrosion. Not bad for a nearly 50 year old!!. The underside and motor have been hard-core cleaned and show some orange, red and black under the blue paintwork. I have had the truck for nearly two years with the intention of building a micro traveling theater. But as happens, many another project has come up, and I in fact only drove a little over 2000 km with it. It is a joy to drive. Chugging along, and starting with ease after warming. The cab is cosy enough to sleep in at a pinch, and the build in the back provides much scope for construction. If you have horses, you won't find many such stylish old boxes any more. This truck has great character.
The previous owner had it for over 20 years, and kept it under cover. His usage was for competitions with his four studs, and had a custom designed trailer for his chariots. The low mileage is due to fairly seldom use, and yet the runs were long and therefore quite healthy for such a motor.
