For sale is my 2003 Alfa Romeo 147 Turismo 1. 6 T. Spark. It’s covered just short of 58k miles and it presents as such. These Mk1 147s are becoming increasingly rare and hard to come by and are a blast to drive.
This example has been very well maintained in its lifetime, which is proven by its good service history and its file of receipts proving work being carried out. The bodywork is presentable with a few age related marks as expected on a 23 year old car. One piece worth noting is the slight discolouration of the passenger side wing mirror which has gone pink due to lacquer failure, however this is the only part of the car which has suffered. The interior is in near mint condition with the only sign of age is the sagging door cards, however the seats, carpets and all trims are nearly unmarked.
The car is a joy to drive and gives you piece of mind as it had its last major service in may replacing all 8 spark plugs. Other recent work includes front disks and pads have recently been changed and the rears have plenty of life left in them. Done by the previous owner all suspension arms and rear ARB bushes were replaced. The car runs really well and is very economical around town and on a long run.
There are a few things that need addressing, sadly recently the windscreen has developed a crack in it in the bottom corner of the drivers side so this will need replacing before next MOT.
And a bush has started to deteriorate which is the near side anti roll bar bush which I have sourced the replacement poly bush by powerflex to fix this.
Please don’t expect this to be a brand new car, it’s 23 years old!! But it’s a lovely car and all it needs is someone to do a little fettling and it’ll be perfect.
