Woken from its slumber 6 years ago with micro blistered paintwork and very very tied mechanicals.
Complete strip down to a rolling shell for pro body prep and paint ( no welding required) with full folder of photos, now in it's stunning as new condition.
FULL mechanical restoration using genuine quality parts- EVERTHING renewed ( folder of parts invoices).
Fuel injection system as been sent away to specialist for rebuild and calibration, re fitted with new pumps, filters, accumulator, all set up to manufactures pressure settings.
The cream leather interior I'm told is a after market fitment( obviously fitted by previous owner in its early life) has cleaned up beautifully showing a little patina and compromises the cars metallic blue.
For the VW purists out there I have purchased a very rare complete original Blue Rivage Interior, all seats, door cards, rear cards, speaker covers, door pulls, all in stunning o/ a condition ( see photos), the new owner can choose which interior suits ( I will fit either). The front seats come complete with there electrics heating element so can be plugged into the existing wiring and operated via the rotary dial on the dash.
The standard polished wheels have a few small previous owners dings but run true, and are as clean inside as out all fitted with new Avon tyres ( space saver and jack in boot).
Engine bay was detailed whilst engine and box were removed to fit a new clutch assembly.
All associated engine parts were cleaned up prior to re fitting ( all photos in folder).
Everything brake wise is new, along with completely new drive shafts, steering rack, wishbones, hub carriers, struts, springs, radiator - the list goes on and on.( again all with invoices).
Electric power steering is now fitted ( those wider wheels / tyres make steering a gym work out). The electric motor for this is descretly hidden beneath the lower parcel shelf and can be disconnected if not required.
The MFA as been repaired and works as it should, led dash lights are fitted which are a vast improvement over the original glow worms !!
The car is polished and detailed regularly including under the bonnet and the inner side of the wheels.( I'm a bit of a clean freak guy)
Under the wheel arches are again regularly cleaned ( the car does not go out in the rain), used mainly for classic car and village fêtes.
The Mohair electric / hydraulic powered roof works as it should with no rips or tears and is water tight, it has been treated with a conditioner and water repellent.
I have the rear roof tonneau cover again in superb condition.
The body kit had no cracks/ accident damage before being removed for painting.
The front electric windows work as they should
4 Genuine headlights are fitted together with the upgraded wiring kit and relays for much less voltage loss.
New badging all round.
Car starts on the key weather cold or hot ( it didn't do this prior to the fuel system re furb).
Over all you have a beautiful looking Rivage which wants for nothing except polishing!!
Any inspection welcome, but will not be taken out in the rain.
Comes with 12 months MOT.

Having rebuilt mainly classic Minis to concourse standard over the years I just wanted ( now I'm retired) something more modern to enjoying and around our home location.
It took @ 1 year to get it running again and a couple more to sort out it's little peculiarities, now running good and receiving plenty of attention at the car shows, the cream interior together with the Blue metallic body looks superb.
It's quite happy to plud along ( no over heating problems) or occasionally be let off the lead.
So o/ a a ready to go Rivage with everything been done to a high standard.
