2006 Harley Davidson Super Glide FXD35. Selling to make space after owning for 18 months, has done just under 20, 000 miles from new and is in very good condition for a 20 year old machine. Does have the age related marks you'd expect, slight flaking of the chrome on the rims and other very minor cosmetic marks, but is mechanically perfect, with the service documents and receipts to prove it.
In 2006 Harley Davidson paid homage to the original 'DYNA' model on its 35th anniversary with 3500 units of the FXD35. The updated Dyna frame with the 1450cc power plant was paired with the 6 speed transmission, EFI and modern security system fitted to all Harley Davidson Super Glide models that followed, as well as the larger front forks with improved suspension and brakes. Paired with the classic styling customers came to expect from HD and the matching White with red and blue accents from the original in 1971, the FXD35 booked its place in Harley Davidsons history books as a well engineered and tasteful addition to the now famed Dyna line.
The machine is still in an almost 'stock' state. It does have the upgrade from sprung to hydraulic cam chain tensioners that is vital for all dyna models of this era. It also has a slash cut Vance and Hines straight through exhaust system to really emphasise its road presence and amplify the iconic V Twin soundtrack. The bike also comes with a lockable quick release screen and colour matched lockable hard side boxes making it ideal for a touring trip.
The bike is stored at my dads garage in Shropshire. Viewing is encouraged but the bike is currently not insured as its not in use so no test rides. It come with 2 keyless fobs and a folder of receipts as well as the screen, boxes and engine crash bars in the photographs. I will ask for a 10% deposit once sale price is agreed, and the remainder to be paid by cash or BAC's on collection.
