This has the potential of being a very special project for the new owner.... I recently bought this outstandingly built Robin Hood 2B with just 7800 miles travelled since build. I bought it with the sole intention of utilising the Vulcan fast road 2. 1 Pinto engine and gearbox for a MkII Escort restoration I am currently having commissioned, therefore this is a complete rolling car, less the drivetrain!!
Offered for sale, a Robin Hood 2B Lotus Seven evocation..... The chassis and kit were purchased from Robin Hood Cars back in 2002/ 03 then painstakingly built to a very high standard over the next four years. The car passed its SVA (Single Vehicle Approval) inspection in 2006 and was subsequently registered with the DVLA and issued both a vehicle registration mark with a V5C to follow.... (With all SVA inspection documentation being present)
As you can see from the images, even now some 20 years later, the car really is in exceptional condition. When built, every component was either new or reconditioned and that carries over into the presentation of the vehicle today.... Some key features to mention include:

Now for the not so great part.... I bought this recently from the previous owner living local to me, the car has been in the South Wales area all of its life, with the intention of utilising the drivetrain for an Escort restoration I am currently having built. The restoration company carefully removed the Pinto and gearbox and set it aside, so this car is now being offered LESS the drivetrain!! The possibilities are endless, one could fit a Hayabusa engine or some other, crazy high power super bike engine, another Pinto engine maybe with a Cosworth 16v head, a sequential box, a red top or even a Civic K20..... The possibilities are endless but please remember, the engine mounts, cooling system, propshaft etc. are all set up for a 2. 0 litre Pinto, so that would of course be the easiest and most cost effective option.....
So to finalise, this would be a fantastic winter project for somebody with relatively mediocre mechanical skills.... All the hard work has been done and completed to a very high standard... The past few years the car has passed every MOT without any advisory items whatsoever, so, if you can drop and engine and 'box in, connect up the radiator and fuel lines and you will have a whole load of fun for not really a vast amount of money.....
