The bodywork on the 993 presents extremely well. The panel gaps are equal on the doors, bonnet and engine cover. The doors open easily and shut with a reassuring clunk; an electric sunroof operates correctly, and the rear spoiler also raises as it should. Windscreen surrounds were recently repaired & painted correctly at Ninemeister, a Porsche specialist in Warrington.
There is a period looking but modern Blaupunkt Bremen head unit fitted, which also has a USB to enable mobile phone connectivity via the glovebox.
The flat-six fires up without hesitation with no untoward noises or smoke. Having had a service Nov 25, the car has been given a clean bill of health and is said to be free from any of the leaks that this era of 911 can suffer. As per the documented history, you'll see the car was in long-term storage between 2012-2018, associated pre-set down service and service when the car was put in to action again were completed by Porsche specialists Autowerke.
22/ 11/ 24.... Major service done with engine removed. Gearbox service & transmission fluid pipes replaced. Cam covers replaced with billet aluminium. Various tinware replaced, removed & powder coated. Various bolts replaced with anodised bolts. Alternator replaced due to noisy bearing. Ignition leads replaced. Heat shields all replaced & finally, 4 wheel alignment.
22/ 8/ 25.... Early rust detected near a corner at the front windscreen & corner of the rear windscreen. Taken back to bare metal, roof, scuttle & windscreen surrounds. Sandblasted, welded, zinc primed & painted with correct paint. Opportunity taken to replace sunroof tubes. New front & rear windscreens with associated rubbers. Completed by a 911 specialist.
A fantastic car that will bring countless years of happy driving. Service history & detailed invoices quoting the above work completed.
