Key Features & History:
• Provenance: This is a numbers-matching car with only 6 recorded owners from new. It comes with a heritage certificate, all previous owner information, and a large ring binder full of parts receipts and documentation dating from 1992 to the present day.

• Expert Restoration: The previous owner, a cabinet maker, has thoroughly restored the car since its purchase. This includes restoring all interior wood veneer to a standard better than new. A full engine rebuild and this car also benefits from a full body restoration and respray.

• Recent Work & Condition: The head lining, seat covers, and carpets have been recently replaced, giving the interior a "brand-new Jaguar smell." Recent mechanical and exterior updates include a new clutch, fuel tank, stainless steel exhaust, and 4 new tyres. All brightwork has been recently re-chromed and is in excellent condition, showing no signs of dullness. A recent engine tuning and adjustment of the suspension and rebuild of the steering rack by The Tipton Garage in Sidmouth means this car drives like new!

• Classic Styling: Finished in its original Opalescent Silver Grey, this ageless beauty still features its original wire wheels and also comes with its original tool kit. The interior has been completely retrimmed in complementary grey leather.

This is a truly exceptional, thoroughly sorted Mark 2 requiring no work and is ready for the road. First to see will buy, so don't delay in registering your interest, test drives in Devon by arrangement.

Why I Bought It
For me, classic motoring has always been about character and soul, and few cars capture that quite like the Jaguar Mark 2. It’s the ultimate embodiment of Sir William Lyons’ legendary motto: "Grace, Space, Pace."

When I first came across this specific 1964 3. 4 MOD, what instantly grabbed me was its honesty and balance. Having spent time in 2016 getting fully gone through and meticulously cared for by its previous owner—a professional cabinet maker—the car represents a rare blend of mechanical integrity and artistic craftsmanship. It was bought not just as an investment, but as a car meant to be genuinely appreciated, driven, and admired.

What Makes It Unique & Why It Stands Out...
While many Mark 2s on the market are either over-restored garage queens or tired daily drivers waiting for work, this example sits in the absolute sweet spot: completely sorted and ready to enjoy immediately.

Cabinet Maker’s Touch: The interior woodwork is where this car truly sets itself apart. Because a master woodworker restored all the interior walnut veneers, the finish across the dashboard and door cappings is actually better than when it left the factory in 1964. Combined with the recently replaced seat covers, headlining, and carpets, sitting inside is an authentic event—it even retains that rich, unmistakable "brand-new Jaguar" aroma.

Originality & Provenance: It’s a genuine numbers-matching 3. 4-litre car with an incredible, unbroken paper trail. Showing under 83, 200 miles from new across just 6 recorded owners, in a fully rebuilt engine, it comes with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate and a continuous ring binder of history, receipts, and documentation stretching back over 30 years to 1992.

The Color & Stance: Dressed in its original Opalescent Silver Grey, the paintwork catches light effortlessly. Paired with freshly re-chromed brightwork, gleaming wire wheels, and classic body proportions, it has an unmistakable presence on the road.

My Favourite Thing About This Classic
If I had to pick just one thing, it’s the mechanical harmony on the road.
The combination of the iconic 3. 4-litre straight-six engine mated to the 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive (MOD) gives you the absolute best of both worlds. Around town, it’s remarkably smooth, aided by the factory power steering. But when you hit an open stretch of road and engage overdrive, that classic Jaguar twin-cam engine sings. With a new clutch, fresh fuel tank, stainless steel exhaust, and fresh rubber on all four corners, engine tuned, steering rebuilt and suspension adjusted by The Tipton Garage Sidmouth in August 2026 the drive is tight, mechanical, and deeply satisfying—exactly as Jaguar intended in 1964.
