The Camel Trophy was a legendary and gruelling off-road expedition held annually between 1980 and 2000. The event was renowned as the ultimate test for man and machine, with teams in camel-coloured Land Rovers traversing the most inhospitable regions of the world. Here is a story that brings the atmosphere and hardships of this unique adventure to life. Many support vehicles had to accompany the expedition to assist the drivers. The pick-up version was chosen to transport materials needed on site. The High Cap pick-up was deployed in 1993 on the Sabah Malaysia expedition and in 1994 on the Argentina Chile Paraguay expedition.
