The vehicle has 183, 000 miles and has been thoroughly restored, with a substantial amount of paperwork and receipts documenting the work undertaken. It also had a full service history prior to its restoration.

Since the restoration, the Discovery has been stored inside a garage, covered and protected, and has only been driven very occasionally.
It starts first time and drives well.
The private registration shown in some of the photographs is not included in the sale and the original registration J887 MHR has now been put back on the vehicle. The private registration may be available separately by negotiation.
The vehicle is currently SORN due to its limited use. For the successful buyer, we would be happy to put a fresh MOT on the vehicle and tax it for six months as part of the sale.
The only outstanding job we are aware of is to connect up the central locking.
This Discovery belonged to my father-in-law and was restored because it was genuinely loved and wanted to be preserved.
A huge amount of time, money, care and passion went into bringing it back to life. This wasn't a quick cosmetic tidy-up. The restoration involved extensive work underneath the vehicle as well as the bodywork and mechanical components.
The underside, chassis and inner bodywork have had considerable attention, and the photographs show just how clean it is. The restoration was carried out with the intention of keeping this Discovery on the road for many more years, rather than simply making it look good for sale.
The restoration invoice alone comes to £21, 404 including VAT, and the paperwork shows the sheer amount of work and parts that went into the vehicle.
It has since been kept indoors, covered and protected, and driven only occasionally.
It has seven seats, five doors, two sunroofs, and five refurbished wheels wearing BF Goodrich tyres.
It has the unmistakable shape and character that made these vehicles so popular in the first place. A proper old-school 2. 5 TDi diesel. It's practical, capable, full of character — and increasingly rare to find in this sort of condition.
It is very loved and cared for. It was brought back to life properly. And after all that work, it has been kept safely inside rather than being put straight back to work.
We would love to see it go to someone who appreciates what it is, and who will look after it for the next chapter of its life.
