1953 Excelsior Consort 98cc with 2 speed hand change still in its original unrestored condition. I am only the 2nd owner of this wonderful little bike. It originally belonged to an old friend of mine who inherited it from his Dad who had it from new. Since I’ve owned it, it has had a full mechanical and electrical refurb with over a £1200 spent on parts alone. I have a detailed spreadsheet showing all the work done. As you will see from the pictures, I have kept it in its original ‘old clothes’. As the saying goes, they are only original once. It even has its original scruffy user manual. I use it regularly for local runs and it has never let me down and has proven to be a reliable and easy starter. I’d like it to go to an Excelsior enthusiast that understands these little Villiers engined bikes. I have fitted the later model S10 carb, which gives it a bit more mid range power. They only produced 2. 8bhp, so don’t expect to be winning any races on it! The bike will come with various spares, including all the original parts. Viewing welcomed. Any questions, just ask.
