I am reluctantly selling my Jaguar XJ40 4. 0L Sport-a rare car. I can't give the car the attention she deserves and due to moving, parking is a problem. She is a delight to drive, powerful and smooth. Like most 4. 0L-smokes on start up, usual issues to deal with, some welding , a little rust, headliner of course, some paint needed (roof), noisy suspendion bushes (front).
The seats are from a Daimler-good colour match but need wiring in. MOT until November. A solid car, good rolling restoration project.
I already have a 3. 2 XJ40, I am a big fan of these cars. I brought this car from a friend (it was his grandads), I love how it drives and looks-the colour is gorgeous. Lovely Rosewood trim and red carpets. The 4. 0L Sport is a very rare car . I havent been able to work on the car so hope she goes to an enthusiast who will look after her properly.
