Description
- 1981 Bonneville T140
- Runs and rides well
- Cat N in 2022, I had a low speed impact front on.
- No structural damage to the headstock, triple trees or frame
- Fork tubes replaced, New disc brake installed (to improve stopping power), New brake master cylinder and lines.
- Indicators have been removed but do come with the bike.
- Airbox has also been removed in favour of pod style air filters but the original airbox also comes with the bike.
- New stator and rotor fitted after the previous one failed.
- Paint and cosmetic condition is typical of a bike of its age that has been used.
I bought this bike as an ULEZ beating daily and rode it most weeks throughout the summer months, after the accident I switched back to my other bike. I kept ownership of the bonneville, took it my dads and replaced the damaged fork tubes. It then stayed at my parents house as a fun bike that I’d ride when visiting but the collection has grown and it doesn’t get ridden as often as it deserves to.
Sounds great, has enough low down grunt to put a smile on your face but don’t expect to be breaking any top speed records!
Happy to answer any questions and will entertain sensible offers, not really looking for a swap or px but there’s never harm in asking.
