Description
1994 Mercedes-Benz MB 100 D, 2. 4 litre diesel with manual transmission and left-hand drive. The odometer shows 232, 886 km. Located and registered in Romania.
Purchased privately, with one previous owner before our family’s ownership to the best of our knowledge.
The van is in an excellent condition and starts readily. It was used for transporting goods before the bodywork restoration. Since the work was completed, it has been garaged and started periodically, rather than driven regularly.
Bodywork restoration and repainting were completed in 2025. Corroded sections were cut out and replaced, rather than simply covered or repainted. Photographs of the restoration work are available. The original mechanical components and interior have been retained and are available with the vehicle.
The van has undergone Romanian technical inspections (ITP), with the last pass in 2025. A fresh ITP can be arranged before sale by agreement. The inspection record should not be taken as a complete service history.
There are no known mechanical faults, although a routine service and checks following storage would be sensible before returning it to regular use.
Romanian vehicle documents are available. The vehicle identity document records an official re-stamping of the identification number by the Romanian vehicle authority, RAR.
Viewing and independent inspection in Romania are welcome by arrangement. International buyers are welcome, with collection and transport agreed separately.
Asking price: 7, 950 euros, negotiable
This Mercedes has a special place in our family. My father bought it privately because we needed a practical vehicle for transporting goods, but for him it quickly became more than that. He was an experienced mechanic who loved cars, and he took to this van immediately.
What appealed to him was its straightforward mechanical design, manual gearbox and solid construction. He enjoyed u detest ding how it worked and being able to maintain it himself. He valued it as a useful, dependable vehicle
and took pride in looking after it.
My favourite thing is how spacious and full of character it feels inside. There is something special about sitting in it - a simple, purposeful Mercedes from a different era, with a presence you rarely see on the road today.
The bodywork restoration and repaint, completed in Sept 2025, have given it a new lease of life. Corroded sections were replaced, while the original interior, seats and mechanical components were retained. For us, that combination is part of its appeal: restored bodywork alongside the familiar character of the van.
We are selling because my dad sadly passed away. We would love it to go to someone who appreciates its history and character, looks after it and enjoys using it as much as he did.
