Other works completed: new rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders, new handbrake cable & adjustment, earth wiring.
Serviced in June 2026. New spark plugs, fuel hoses & clips, oil filter, oil change. Cleaned, tuned, and balanced carburettors and fitted new gaskets to manifold. Clean MOT July 2026 with no defects or advisories.
Very low mileage. 3000 miles since restoration. 1000 miles in current ownership over 3 years.
There are some body panel areas in need of attention hence the price. The lower nearside door panel has rust and there is an area of rust under the rear bumper. The chassis is in good condition though and well protected by the under seal. The upper body could do with a re-spray sometime in the future as the paint has broken down in areas. Cosmetics aside, the car is in great mechanical condition, a reliable runner, and has always started first time even after 6 months over-winter storage. The over drive on the dash is a great touch and works well.
I have loved owning and driving this car. I bought it during a mid-life crisis and it definitely scratched that itch! I also got to drive my 80 year-old father around in it too who owned one of the same year when they first came out. It's now time for someone else to enjoy it.
It sounds amazing due to the stainless steel exhaust pipe; a sound I will miss. I love the smell of the vintage leather interior when you get in. Definitely a 'head turner' due to its chrome wheels, bumper, and accessories.
It's a classic that you can simply enjoy just driving around in, or if you have the time and desire you can address the bodywork and make it a show piece once again!
