Description
1981 Jaguar XJ6 Series III 4. 2 Automatic – 30, 927 Miles Displayed
A lovely 1981 Jaguar XJ6 Series III 4. 2 Automatic, finished in a beautiful period beige/ gold colour with a contrasting tan leather interior.
Powered by Jaguar’s classic 4. 2-litre (4235cc) straight-six petrol engine coupled to a 3-speed automatic gearbox. The car starts and runs and the odometer currently displays just 30, 927 miles.
The interior presents particularly well for its age, with attractive tan leather upholstery, wood veneer dashboard and original-style Smiths instrumentation. It retains all the character and luxury for which the Series III XJ6 is known.
Externally, the car retains its elegant chrome detailing, period Jaguar wheels and unmistakable Series III styling. The period colour combination suits the car beautifully.
The Jaguar has spent time in storage and has recently been brought back out. As with any classic vehicle of this age, viewing is welcomed and recommended so buyers can satisfy themselves as to its condition.
A very attractive example of one of Jaguar’s most recognisable luxury saloons and an excellent opportunity for an enthusiast looking for a running 4. 2-litre Series III with exceptionally low displayed mileage.
Viewing welcome. Serious enquiries please.
This Jaguar really stands out because of its wonderfully original period appearance and classic colour combination. The beige/ gold exterior with tan leather interior, wood veneer dashboard and chrome detailing gives it exactly the character you would hope to find in a Series III XJ6.
The 4. 2-litre straight-six and automatic gearbox make it a proper traditional Jaguar, and the remarkably low 30, 927 miles displayed makes it particularly interesting.
What we love most about the car is how much of its original character it has retained. The interior presents beautifully for its age, and sitting behind the wood dashboard and classic Smiths instruments feels like stepping straight back into the early 1980s.
Having spent time in storage, it is now running again and deserves to go to an enthusiast who will enjoy, preserve and continue improving this lovely British classic
