This is a very cool car that gets the right attention. I call it “Diet Ronin” as it’s not the full S8, but it’s the same colour and the “sport” spec makes it look the same.
Immaculate grey interior, pretty decent exterior. Someone at some point has rubbed the left side against something. Engine uses a bit of oil as it was stored a while ago (not under my ownership) and would benefit from new valve seals. I just keep it topped up. It has 40 valves, so I decided buying oil was cheaper than repair!
Running new Q5 wheels and Michelin Cross Climate 3 Sport tyres. As soon as I bought the car I spent £4k putting all new brakes all round and suspension/ steering arms to make sure it handled properly. It has double
glazing (clear glass), blinds on each rear window and the all important electric rear screen blind. A/ C doesn’t work but not sure if it needs a regas or more. I drive with the windows open to enjoy the V8 and to allow my dog to stick his head out.
I love this car but a new car purchase means my wife says it has to go. It’s 27 years old and isn’t perfect but I call it “character”. It’s never let me down and that’s all I care about.
The best long distance cruiser I’ve owned, but it’s surprisingly good on the back roads.
Car has hand controls fitted so my wife can drive it, but these can be removed easily by me or you!
