Description
Metisse Steve McQueen Desert Racer.
One of the limited Edition 300 motorcycles constructed by Metisse with approval and in conjunction with the McQueen and Ekins families.
Ordered new by myself with photographs taken through its construction, which was to the standard specification.
I ordered the bike with two options, these being a Road-Light package and an aluminium fuel tank.
It has the correct grey paint finish with the beautiful nickel plated frame, stainless steel rims fitted Mitchelin Knobbly tyres.
650cc Triumph engine [Dec 1970 T120 Bonneville Unit] with a 4-speed gearbox.
Fully inspected by the Metisse Motorcycle Registrar and approved by the DVLA, therefore UK Road Registered with an Historic Status and age related number plate.
The frame carries all the vital Factory stamps which corrolate with all the important Factory/ Metisse paperwork, which i have and fully authenticate the bike.
Whilst with me the Factory electrics have been carefully upgraded to a twin battery system and fully remote ignition kill-system, which are all hidden.
The Factory GPS Speedo has been upgraded and remounted.
The engine has been checked for hot compression, which is excellent and fitted with a Morgo Precision Oil Pump.
The Factory Wasser carburettor has been replaced with a new Premier Amal Unit and bell-mouth filter unit.
The bike was purchased to ride, which it does really well.
It is kept is a very dry garage and never used in the wet/ rain.
Please, only serious enquires only.
This is a very special limited edition production motorcycle of collector quality, beautiful to look at and great to ride.
