Description
2001 Honda Civic
I have owned the car since October 2024, in which time the following work has been carried out:
Brand new front shocks, coil springs, control arms, track rod ends; drop links and bottom ball joints. Drives like new!
New Brembo front discs and pads
New rear brakes shoes, cylinders, pipes; skimmed drums
New starter motor
All 4 x tyres less than 2 years/ 12k miles old
Welding to rear inner sills last year (only 2x small patches, nothing else foreseeable or noted on this year's MOT)
Full wheel alignment spring 2026
Oil and Mahle filter every 5k miles, and Pipercross stock replacement air filter fitted; Bosch wiper blades.
New air conditioning compressor (£££!!) and re-gas October 2026. AC now blows icy cold!
I have done all the above myself, except obviously the welding and regas. Plenty of these MK7 Civics have been driven into the ground and I have spent a lot of time and money making sure this isn't one of them. The car has served me very well and has been reliable on both long motorway journeys and local errands. Its cheap to tax and insure, it's economical, ULEZ compliant, unassuming and dependable. Reason for sale is I have bought a larger car for practicality.
Interior is in generally good condition, although some scrapes and minor marks which I have tried to show in pictures. CD player with Bluetooth/ USB and extensive service history and receipts as pictured, including original dealer books and PDI sheet. 2 keys. Cambelt was apparently replaced by the previous owner in 2024, although I can't find any receipts for this (belts clearly look new though)
The only real negatives to mention are cosmetic. Two small dents on offside rear quarter and slight dent/ crease in the front right wing. Front bumper has had a poor spray repair in the past. Paints scuffs here and there. Nothing major. I'm sure you could source a better 2nd hand bumper if this is the sort of thing that'll keep you awake at night.
The car is in Yeovil, and viewings are encouraged. Happy to take interested parties for a test drive, but I've had a bad experience with "test pilots" in the past so will need proof of insurance if you want to drive yourself. As you can see it has had plenty of work done to it and has been well looked after in my ownership. It is MOT'd until October 2027, the only advisory being number plates faded.
