Description
A nice example of the top of the range 2006 3L Sovereign X type AWD, currently on circa 99. 1k miles on the odometer (will gradually go up as in use about twice a week)
(More photos to follow once we get a nice spell of weather!)
I've had a great time owning this vehicle but now it's time to move it on to a new owner.
I'm looking for £2750 ONO
Good points:
- Recently gone though it's MOT. The MOT tester commented that it is fairly healthy underneath for it's age
-Runs and drives well, gear changes are smooth. Starts every time without fail.
- Front discs and pads recently replaced
- Tyres all round replaced with Pirelli Powergy
-Wheel alignment and tracking adjustment undertaken in last 6 months
- Headlining retrimmed at Awesome Classic & Custom specialist automotive upholsters (almost £1000 of work done!)
-Serviced exclusively at Jaguar specialist garage throughout my ownership of the car.
-Premium grade petrol used throughout my ownership
- Receipts kept and filed throughout my ownership of the car
- Jaguar Daimler Heritage trust certificate produced for car showing history and manufacturers codes where known
- Featured in December 2025 Jaguar Drivers Club magazine.
- Gear selector and headlamp washer covers recently replaced (common X type issue as these plastics can get brittle)
-Instruments, satnav and infotainment system fully working (with exception of BT phone see below)
- Bodyshop gave car a deep polish not long after I bought the car abou 1. 5 years ago
- Passenger O/ S mirror recently replaced to restore full motor folding and adjustment functionality to both mirrors!
-Lannoguard protective coating applied to underside and sills in December 2025, next coating is due and can arrange for this to be applied if full price offered.
Known issues -
- Alloys could benefit from refurbishment some slight curb rash/ marks on wheels which have been there since I bought it
- Air con is a little feeble, a common issue with X types this age speaking to other owners. Heating works well though.
- Slight weeping from water pump, requiring occasional top up of coolant
- Bluetooth phone does not connect to phone
- Slight wear to leather on steering wheel and driver's bolster.
- Plastic headlamp adjuster has been fixed in one position for MOT. This is a common issue with X type headlamps and I am advised a 3D printed part can be fitted at X Lyte headlamps
- Advisories listed on latest MOT for surface rust on rear coils and bushings slightly worn.
- Slight nicks to paint around wheel arches on front O/ S and rear N/ S
