Description
This car spent most of its life in South Africa and, as a result, the bodywork is exceptional. The paintwork is genuinely faultless being rust free and without any blemishes or stone chips. The car was imported into the UK in 2016 and dry stored and maintained with MOT certificates mentioning tyres only which have been subsequently replaced. With the car is a full book pack, four sets of keys, a service booklet showing stamps until 1985, a Mercedes data certificate and a log of the year on year mileage from 2000 to 2013.
Recent recommissioning work includes new heater hoses, new lower steering column, refurbished brake calipers, new brake pads and fluids.
The paintwork is cream in colour with contrasting tan interior. The odometer is in kilometers having come originally from South Africa and shows 67466 km which equates to 42166 miles believed to be original but is not warranted.
The car drives faultlessly and any inspection is welcome.
I bought this car because it stands out in a crowd and is in truly remarkable condition. I had it recommissioned and enjoyed it over the summer taking it to many classic car shows. Unfortunately I don’t have a garage and I don’t want to keep the car on the driveway under a cover over the winter so it’s time to let someone else enjoy this wonderful car.
The car is currently being stored ( as shown in the photos ) in a friend’s garage in Haywards Heath where it is available to view by appointment.
