Description
In this case, colour makes all the difference.
Finished in Verde Chiaro Metallizzato (AR 246), the car has an exceptionally elegant appearance. Combined with its brown and green leather interior, it is clear that this Alfa was specified by a gentleman with excellent taste. Perhaps that is why it was originally sold new in France. It has lived for some time in the UK, so I presume it is easier to reimport. Currently the car lives in Norway.
This specification makes the car considerably more attractive than the usual red, white or silver Alfa Spider. We attended a classic car show in Bologna this autumn and must have seen a hundred Alfa Spiders. Not one had this exact original colour. The asking price reflects its uniqueness and is therefore firm.
The Alfa comes with extensive documentation covering its life in France, England, Italy and Norway. A substantial, well-organised history file accompanies the car, along with all the original books and service booklet.
The documentation shows that the car has benefited from several mechanical upgrades, including the engine, gearbox, exhaust and suspension.
The driving experience is simply captivating. With its GTA wheels and 185/ 70 tyres, the car feels firmly planted on the road. The lightly modified 2. 0-litre engine, with its lively character and strong pull, provides all the performance you need when you feel like having some fun. The sound from the upgraded exhaust system is enough to give you goosebumps. This is motoring in its purest form.
EXTERIOR
As mentioned, the car is finished in its original colour, Verde Chiaro Metallizzato (AR 246).
The bodywork and paint show some signs of use, but overall, the car presents very well.
INTERIOR
The dashboard is in excellent condition, with no cracks or holes. All instruments are working.
The seats, door cards and other interior trim are also in very good condition. The interior was reupholstered a few years ago.
MECHANICAL
Engine – 2. 0-litre
The engine runs exceptionally well, with strong, consistent power all the way to 7, 000 rpm.
We have re-jetted the carburettors and adjusted the ignition timing for optimum performance.
Carburators: Twin 40 mm Weber carburators, original Italian units, fitted with intake trumpets that produce a wonderful induction sound.
Exhaust: Custom-built exhaust system from England.
Distributor: Magneti Marelli electronic ignition.
New engine mount.
The engine has a minor oil leak, which is not unusual for a classic Alfa Romeo.
ELECTRICS
Everything works, including the digital clock.
Modern classic-style radio fitted. The heater produces plenty of warmth.
GEARBOX AND DRIVETRAIN
The gearbox feels tight and operates well.
The clutch and hydraulic hoses changed 2026. The third-gear synchro shows some wear, but this does not present a problem in normal use.
REAR AXLE
No unwanted noises or excessive play. In excellent condition, retaining its original limited-slip differential.
STEERING
Sharp and precise, with no play. The steering box oil was changed in October 2026.

CONCLUSION
We strongly recommend experiencing this car in person. Come and see it, hear it and feel how it drives. This is a car that appeals to all the senses. Turn the key and head off on a long journey, or simply take a completely unnecessary drive – just because you feel like it.
This is therapy on four wheels.
