Peugeot 172 BC 1924 Company History The first Peugeot car, a three-wheeled steam-powered car designed by Leon Serpolley, was produced in 1889, after many different models of the Peugeot, they began building the Type 172 in 1924. The first of the 5CV series was the Type 172 BC. The Type 172 BC adopted the Quadrilette's 667cc engine, but with up to 11bhp. It made its debut in the Tour de France Automobile in 1924. Between 1924 and 1925, there were 7, 084 examples of the 172 BC. The type 172 BC built several models. 2-seaters, 4-seaters, convertibles. Models for the economy, but few of this model.
