Although some 2. 8 million examples of the 404 type were produced in total in all variants, only 10, 389 examples of the Cabriolet were built at Pininfarina. This is one of the very last examples produced in 1968. This Peugeot 404 has been beautifully restored. The car was completely dismantled during the restoration. The bodywork has also been completely dismantled and the car has been completely stripped, straightened and painted in the colour "Blue Ciel". This original colour suits the Peugeot perfectly and gives it a real sixties look. Technically, the Peugeot has also been overhauled: engine overhauled, braking system overhauled, fuel system overhauled, cooling system renewed, electrical system overhauled, new clutch, etc. etc. Optically, the car has also been given all the attention it needs to look as good and as original as possible. The car has some very nice chromes, including new bumpers, new wheel trims, a new radiator grille, new headlight trims and new 'Marchal' headlights. What's more, the interior has been fitted with new leather and a new black mohair soft top. Finally, the wheels were repainted in black and 5 new Michelin 165R15 XZX tyres were fitted.
